Jamahl Kersey

Jamahl is a DJ who is passionately obsessed with music. He has been honing his skills as a performer since he was a child. He got his start singing in youth choirs. In the fourth grade, he learned his first instrument, the cello. He dabbled with other instruments, and fell in love with the drums. He taught music for a couple of years at a local middle school.

Jamahl has always been fascinated with the art of DJing. While hip hop is his personal favorite, he has a very broad range of musical tastes, and has been known to incorporate electronica, alternative and classic rock, pop, reggaetón, Afrobeats, and more in his sets. He brings a lifetime of music experience with him to the turntables.

“Making people dance and have a memorable experience is one of my favorite joys in life,” says Jamahl. He is a consummate professional, and one of the most genuine, friendly people you will meet.

Venues and Organizations Jamahl has worked with include: San Diego State University, Campaign for U.S. Congressional Candidate Fernando Garcia, Legal Aid Society of San Diego, Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Logan Heights Community Development Corporation, Bali Hai Wedding Venue, Rose Creek Cottage, Westgate Hotel, and Omni San Diego Hotel
