Best way to plan your Wedding

Best way to plan your Wedding

Planning for your Wedding is something you surely like to do with ample care. But the problem is while doing it you can discover yourself clueless for the want of reference and guidance. All you need to prepare a good checklist considering all

the essential sub-events involving the potential resources and human role players pertinent to the main event of wedding. You need to prepare the checklist with a projection of some 12 months ( of course you can put it as you feel best for you!).

You need to update and review it on a weekly or may be bi-weekly basis as the time progresses depending on the item-wise fulfillment or

rather the progress to the smaller targets in the list. Beware of the fact that confirmation of the realization of every fact as in case of the list-item should be adequately supported either by some documental evidence, phone call, email, text messages or confirmation from a person you can consider real trustworthy!

Here’s a sample Wedding checklist for you :

12+ months before :  Date: ______________________ (Please write the date here)

@Draw up a budget first.
@Sit with seniors may be with some newly married friend.  Consider hiring a wedding consultant, if pocket permits.
@Pick a wedding date and time. Select several options, check with your venues.
@Prepare the guest list.
@Look for and book ceremony sites and reception sites.
@Optional: Have an engagement party. You may want to register beforehand for gifts.

8-10 months before : Date: ______________________

@Bride: Plan, select and order your gown.
@Prepare reception menu.
@Decide and select the type of entertainment you want : A pianist, roaming violinists, DJ or may be a band.
@Plan the floral decor.
@Research and book your wedding professionals. Interview vendors: photographer, videographer, reception band or DJ, florist.
@Research a wedding insurance policy to protect your deposits.
@Reserve accommodations for out-of-town guests.
@Contact rental companies if you need to rent anything for ceremony/reception, such as chairs, tables and tent.

6-8 months before : Date: ______________________

@Order bridesmaid dresses.
@Start planning honeymoon.
@Send save-the-date cards. This is a particularly good idea if you’re marrying during a tourist or holiday season or having a destination wedding.

So, this way you can prepare your own list well in advance at the intervals like : 4-6 months before, 3 months before, 2 months before, 1 month before, 2 weeks before, 1 week before, 3 days ahead, last night etc.

In addition to this, you need to do some post wedding planning too !

Date: ______________________

@Prearrange for someone to return any rentals pending.
@Preplan for attendants to take the bride’s gown for cleaning and return the groom’s tux to the rental shop.
@Write and send thank-you notes to gift-bearing guests and vendors who were especially helpful on the Wedding.
